Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays, Bat Fans!

This year has been a blast.  The BATitat has been seen at various non-profit events throughout Oregon and was selling out at the Eugene Saturday Market and Holiday Market.

By popular demand, we have introduced new habitat products to the marketplace.  Mason bees are native bees that help pollinate early spring flowers in the Pacific Northwest.  They lay their eggs in the exit holes of beetles and create a protective seal with mud.  You can see pictures of the mason bee habitat on our facebook page.

Screech Owls are at another level of the food chain.  These owls are known to inhabit suburban areas and will control rodent populations, maintaining a healthy ecosystem.  We have designed an Owl Habitat made of sustainably harvested Redwood.  The American Kestrel will co-habitat in the same box at different times of the season.  Please check out the BATitat Facebook Page to get connected with the habitat stewardship community and to learn more.  Stay tuned to this website for an upcoming web revision with our new habitat products.

A special thanks to all of the supporters of BATitat and all of the wildlife stewards that provided habitat to integrate nature into the human system.  A healthy ecosystem must incorporate and celebrate all members of the global community.  Have a Happy New Year with many new beginnings!
